Major Responsibilities:

•Complete custom fabrication of modular units at the shop.
•Provide problem solving initiatives.
•Ensure quality control and quality assurance.
•Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and timely manner.
•Work collaboratively with all shop groups.
•Provide the necessary flexibility with time scheduling to meet customer needs.

Specific Accountabilities:

•Ensure a safe working environment.
•Work with pneumatic fasteners, hand tools and saws.
•Frame floors, wall, roofs using dimensional lumber, wood I joist, and LVL material.
•Insulate floors, walls, and roofs.
•Install subfloor, underlay and linoleum.
•Panel framed walls with vinyl cover drywall and sheathing.
•Erect, set and square walls.
•Frame and panel roofs.
•Sheath and clad exterior walls.
•Install rubber and metal waterproof membranes on roofs.
•Install windows, doors, and door hardware.
•Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Education, Skills, Capabilities & Qualifications:
•6 months experience in a construction and/or manufacturing environment with framing and/or sheathing/siding experience.
•Must have reliable transportation to get to/from work safely – Work location is not accessible by public transportation.
•Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
•Positive Attitude.
•Ability to work with others.
•Ability to handle and deal with conflict effectively.
•Overhead crane, fall protection and aerial workplace platform training an asset (not mandatory).
